Embrace the 5 ways to Wellbeing by interacting with the Natural World at Brockholes Nature Reserve in Preston. Activities include: invasive species removal, habitat creation, wildflower ID walks and fire lighting. All sessions are held outside and travel expenses will be paid.
You don’t need to be particularly fit to take part, just happy to be outside for the afternoon and to take part in some practical activity at your own pace. No previous skills or experience necessary.
Ladies Only Yoga, ProjectFit Preston

A ladies only beginner’s yoga class. This is a very gentle and welcoming class. You will learn yoga postures, relaxing breathing techniques, stress and anxiety coping techniques and guided meditation relaxations.
This course will help you to manage daily stresses and anxieties and improve flexibility, balance, strength and respiratory health.
You are welcome to attend as many of these sessions as you are able

Join artist Sue Flowers for this series of relaxing beginner-friendly visual arts classes. The sessions start with a calming meditation and stretch led by one of the Mandala yoga teachers.
This series of visual art classes will help you to relax into drawing.
Set in the beautiful Mandala studios in Preston we will explore how slowing down and focusing on nature and making art can enable a sense of calm and wellbeing. All materials will be provided.

A fun class of gentle stretching and relaxing breathing techniques as well as gently energising, fun movement to music (also known as dancing!) All of the class can be enjoyed seated with options for standing if that feels good in your body on that day.
An energising class to improve flexibility, balance, strength and lung and heart health.
We start with stretches, move into fun dance moves seated or standing and end with a lovely breath relaxation.

Relaxation & Gentle Movement for Chronic Pain

A very gentle class delivered by Emma who has a great deal of experience delivering sessions for those with chronic pain. This class will support you in relaxing the body through yogic breathing, postural techniques, self-massage and gentle movement.
Emma has lived experience of chronic pain and has developed this course with others experiencing chronic pain.
The focus is breathing, postural and meditation techniques to relax the nervous system and muscles. As well as gentle rhythmic movements that you can do in your own way.
