Artist Call

Green Close are looking for artists who have experience of working in schools, who can work with pupils on a specific decade linked to the 50th Anniversary of the designation of the Forest of Bowland as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (A.O.N.B). We hope that prior research will have been undertaken in school and an archive of source materials started before the work begins.

Artists will be employed for a total of 4 days:- 1 day preparation & 3 days in school. The fee for this work will be £1,000.

At the end of the project, each school/artist will produce a piece of finished work to be photographed and made into a banner, which will be showcased at the Platform Gallery in Clitheroe and tour Bowland AONB as part of the Bowland Revealed celebration.

A CPD event will be held for all participating artists at Green Close, to give them the opportunity to meet the other artists working on the project. There will also be the chance to meet the Green Close Team and teachers from participating schools.
