The pilot ‘Light Up Lancaster’ was considered a huge success by all involved and we are now able to share with you some photographs of Green Close’s involvement.
The event took place on 2nd November 2012 as part of Lancaster Arts City’s ‘First Fridays’ initiative. Green Close was involved by bringing Lancaster City Museum to life through light with animations being projected onto the windows of the museum. There were also giant illuminated skeletons outside the museum created by the Liverpool Lantern Company. An animation created by Sue Flowers for the ‘Recuerdos de México’ exhibition and featured as a projection during Light Up Lancaster can be viewed on Vimeo here.
If you missed the 2012 event, make sure to keep an eye out for news of the 2013 ‘Light Up Lancaster’ – set to hit Lancaster’s streets this coming autumn. Green Close will of course keep you updated with any information – it’s an event not to be missed again!
Some photographs, below, were taken by Darren Andrews and we’re very grateful to him for sharing them with us. The rest were taken by Green Close’s Sue Flowers and show the work of Green Close, the Liverpool Lantern Company and Sumit Sarkar.
